Basketball Recap: Lamarcus Carter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Green Valley over Chaparral

Green Valley was the 69-43 winner over Chaparral when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Green Valley Gators took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chaparral Cowboys on Monday.

Green Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lamarcus Carter, who posted 14 points and six rebounds. Carter continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Justin Santana was another key player, putting up five points and ten rebounds.

Green Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Chaparral, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Green Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-35 win against Sunrise Mountain on the 11th. As for Chaparral, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-47 victory against Western on the 11th.
