Softball Preview: Weber Warriors vs. Syracuse Titans
The Weber Warriors will head out to square off against the Syracuse Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weber is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Weber fell victim to Davis and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Darts, falling 15-0.
Meanwhile, Syracuse made easy work of Farmington on Friday and carried off a 15-9 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Nineveh Franco was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paizlee Prathan, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and three runs.
Syracuse was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They are 9-4 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Syracuse's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Weber, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
