Baseball Recap: Cambridge Springs Triumphs

Cambridge Springs and Jamestown pushed the score to 17-5 the last time they played Jamestown, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Devils had just enough and edged out the Muskies 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Devils have posted since March 27th.

Brett Kania was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Cambridge Springs' record now sits at 3-6. As for Jamestown, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Looking ahead, Cambridge Springs will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orioles have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Jamestown, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
