Softball Game Preview: Hale County Wildcats vs. Demopolis Tigers

Hale County is 2-8 against Demopolis since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats challenge the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Hale County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Gordo on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 10-8. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adalyn Seale was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Yomari Moore, who scored three runs while going 1-for-5.

Meanwhile, Demopolis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Hillcrest, falling 12-1.

Hale County now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Demopolis, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Hale County suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Demopolis when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Hale County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
