Freshman quarterback Koa Malau'ulu leads No. 2 St. John Bosco to 27-17 win over Servite at SoFi Stadium.

Freshman quarterback Koa Malau'ulu made his second start for No. 2 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and led the Braves to a 27-17 win over Servite (Anaheim, Calif.) at SoFi Stadium. He completed 17 of 25 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns. The win sets up a showdown at  No. 1 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) next Friday.

The Monarchs rolled to a 41-17 win over JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) to improve to 7-0. Washington-bound quarterback Dash Beierly had a huge night accounting for four touchdowns. He threw two to four-star sophomore tight end Mark Bowman and one to Oklahoma commit Marcus Harris. He added an electric 28-yard touchdown run on fourth down. The Monarchs have won all seven games by double-digits this season.

This will be the sixth time since 2018 these two Trinity League rivals square off as the top-two ranked teams in the MaxPreps Top 25. St. John Bosco has a 3-2 edge in the series when they have met as the top-two teams in the country.

No. 18 Venice (Fla.) added another quality win to its resume with a 27-20 victory over Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater, Fla.). This was the Indians first game since suffering their first loss of the season with a 21-16 defeat against No. 6 IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.).

No. 22 De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) improved to 7-0 with a dominant 42-14 win over a previosuly undefeated San Ramon Valley (Danville, Calif.) squad. The Spartans have won all 20 meetings since 2006.

No. 23 Centennial (Corona, Calif.) has been playing its best football of the season and that continued on Friday with a 28-9 win over Murrieta Valley (Murrieta, Calif.). The Huskies have won six consecutive games by an average margin of 36.2 points per game.

No. 24 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) cruised to a dominant 35-7 win over WCAC rival, Good Counsel (Olney, Md.). The Stags have won six in a row since a season-opening 26-10 loss to No. 11 Archbishop Spalding (Severn, Md.).
