Basketball Game Preview: Paola Panthers vs. Eudora Cardinals

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Paola is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Tonganoxie on Friday. Paola fell just short of Tonganoxie by a score of 51-48. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Chieftains are ranked 244th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Eudora beat Spring Hill 68-64 on Friday.

Paola has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. Eudora's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9.

Paola strolled past Eudora in their previous matchup last Friday by a score of 54-35. Will Paola repeat their success, or does Eudora have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
