Basketball Recap: Berne Union Takes a Loss

Berne Union lost against Millersport back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Berne Union Rockets took a blow against the Millersport Lakers, falling 64-25.

Millersport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Schilling, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Schilling a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilly Atkinson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Berne Union has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Millersport, they moved to 5-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Berne Union has already played their next contest (against Bishop Rosecrans), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Millersport will venture away from home to square off against Wellington School at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
