Volleyball Recap: Millard Extends Winning Streak to Three

Millard waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Sevier Wolves. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Millard not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept North Sevier between 15 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-15.

Olivia Bassett paced Millard's offense, picking up 18 kills. Bassett got some help from Eden Rasmussen and her 26 assists. Bassett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Millard's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for North Sevier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Millard is set to square off against their familiar foe Duchesne at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North Sevier will face off against rival North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
