Westmoreland is 8-2 against Essex since February of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Westmoreland Eagles will host the Essex Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Westmoreland will be strutting in after a win while Essex will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Westmoreland narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Sussex Central 42-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Essex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 69-49 to Cumberland. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Trojans have suffered since February 8, 2024.

Essex's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Westmoreland, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Westmoreland was able to grind out a solid victory over Essex in their previous meeting back in January, winning 44-31. Will Westmoreland repeat their success, or does Essex have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
