Baseball Recap: Beaver Comes Up Short

If Beaver was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of New Castle last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bobcats fell 8-4 to the Central Valley Warriors on Monday. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Beaver saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Tanner, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Beaver's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Central Valley, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-1-1 and their overall record up to 4-4-1.

While Beaver had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
