Basketball Recap: Manistique Comes Up Short

Manistique was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 40-32 to the Pickford Panthers. The Emeralds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Manistique's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pickford, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Manistique has already played their next matchup (against Ishpeming), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pickford will take on Engadine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pickford is facing Engadine at the right time seeing as Engadine is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
