Softball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin fell victim to Portsmouth Christian Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Portsmouth Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Franklin and Portsmouth Christian Academy will both be playing Pittsfield the next time they take the field. The Eagles will host the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Tornadoes will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
