Cheyenne dropped their record down to 15-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 21-7 to the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons. The Desert Shields were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 8-5.

Taven Thaker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they moved to 5-10-1 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31st (when they won 17-3).

On Doral Academy Red Rock's side, Elijah McDuffie made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. McDuffie was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Doral Academy Red Rock got a massive performance out of Ryan Hollingsworth, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits Hollingsworth has posted since back in February. Sebastian Zaman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Looking ahead, Cheyenne will take on Clark at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.68 runs per game on average), something the Desert Shields will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will challenge Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 3:30 p.m. on the 25th.
