Softball Recap: Hilbert Takes a Loss

Hilbert's last matchup with Reedsville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Wolves came up short against the Panthers, falling 9-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Leigha Wunrow made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Hilbert's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Reedsville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

Coming up, Hilbert will venture away from home to take on Howards Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reedsville will be paying especially close attention to the Wolves' match: after the Wolves face off against Manitowoc Lutheran, they'll take on Reedsville again at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
