Baseball Game Preview: Camas Valley Hornets vs. Lowell Red Devils

Camas Valley is 0-8 against Lowell since April of 2023 but things could change on Wednesday. The Hornets will face off against the Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. Camas Valley has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Camas Valley lost 12-1 to Umpqua Valley Christian on Monday.

Oakridge hit Lowell with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by just one run.

Lowell got a big performance out of Brenden Myers, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Harris, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Camas Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Lowell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Camas Valley suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Lowell in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
