Baseball Recap: Dwyer Triumphs

Dwyer won against Somerset Academy - Canyons on Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Panthers came out on top against the Benjamin Buccaneers by a score of 7-2. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Dwyer got a massive performance out of Owen Hewitt, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave Hewitt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kole Griffin, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Dwyer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Benjamin only posted an OBP of .231.

Dwyer's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Benjamin, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Dwyer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Leonard on the 2nd. As for Benjamin, they have also already played their next game, a 7-2 victory against Schoolhouse Prep on the 31st.
