Preview: Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots vs. Milton Eagles

The Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Milton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Pisgah Christian is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Mount Pisgah Christian suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-37 loss at the hands of Marietta. Mount Pisgah Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.

Even though Milton has not done well against South Forsyth recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Milton snuck past South Forsyth with a 66-60 win. Given Milton's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while South Forsyth is ranked 123rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Nya Smith, who scored 35 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Milton's points. Londyn Walker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Mount Pisgah Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Milton, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.

Mount Pisgah Christian might still be hurting after the 59-36 loss they got from Milton in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Can Mount Pisgah Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
