Dayton and Brearley pushed the score to 18-1 the last time they played Brearley, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Bulldogs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Bears 2-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Dayton's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Brearley, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Dayton will challenge Metuchen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brearley, they will face off against Verona at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
