St. Helena posted their closest victory since October 1, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Credo Gryphon. This was payback for the Saints, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (100-98) St. Helena actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 13-25, 18-25, 25-17, 17-15.

With the victory, St. Helena broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Credo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, St. Helena will be taking part in a tournament against St. Patrick-St. Vincent on Saturday. As for Credo, they are taking a road trip to challenge Technology at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
