League recap: Rainbolt throws longest pass in league this season for Center

Fans got a thrill when Caiden Rainbolt and Octavious Evans connected against Corrigan-Camden. The connection was good for 73 yards, the longest such play in 3A Region III District 20 this season.

Huntington lost to Madisonville 56-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. TAYLOR EVANS was a bright spot for the Red Devils, as he ran for 55 yards in the defeat.

Center's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Rainbolt threw for 239 and 3 touchdowns and Evans had 174 yards receiving. On the ground Delvin Whitaker chipped in 110 yards. Josh Burns helped Center's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 44 yards.

The Roughriders' dynamic duo of Rainbolt and Evans proved to be unstoppable against the Bulldogs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Burns helped Center's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 44 yards.

Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Center's Dalton Horton and Burns have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Horton has thrown for 584 yards this season, while Burns has 28 catches for 530 yards. JAMICHEAL BROWN from Huntington leads the league in rushing with 486 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ryan Soderquist's team takes on Carthage. The Red Devils are in third place, while the Bulldogs are in first place.

Jasper made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,684 from 3,812. The improvement was the result of a 49-7 victory over Bridge City last week.
