Football Recap: Providence Christian Academy Storm vs. Wesleyan Wolves
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Providence Christian Academy can now relate to. They took a blow against the Wesleyan Wolves on Friday, falling 48-7. The Storm just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Hutson Moore threw for 86 yards and one touchdown on only eight passes. Mason Malone was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards.
Maddox Gartland was his usual excellent self, rushing for 206 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries for Wesleyan. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Gartland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Hilton, who rushed for 69 yards and one score on only seven carries.
Providence Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Wesleyan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Providence Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wesleyan, they are taking a road trip to take on Prince Avenue Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
