Palm Desert's loss ends three-game winning streak on the road

It was a good run, but the Palm Desert Aztecs unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. Their rough 57-37 loss to Palm Springs might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Palm Desert has scored all season.

Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jake Brande, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Brande is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jecorey Jones, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.

Palm Desert's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4. As for Palm Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season.

Palm Desert will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Xavier Prep at 6:30 p.m. Xavier Prep is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Palm Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Mirage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
