Recap: Valley View Tigers vs. Vela Sabercats
This season hasn't been kind to the Valley View Tigers, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They took a serious blow against Vela on Friday, falling 93-14. Valley View has struggled against Vela recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Janai Coleman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Vela, scoring 31 points along with five steals. The game was Coleman's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Gg Betancourt was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and four steals.
Valley View bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Vela, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.
Valley View will be home for the holidays to greet Sharyland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sharyland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 41 on Friday. As for Vela, they will head out on the road to face off against Rowe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
