Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Roughriders vs. Calvert Hall Cardinals

Having just played yesterday, the Roosevelt Roughriders will jump right back in to play the Calvert Hall Cardinals at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Roosevelt is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Dunbar, who was ranked 13th at the time (Roosevelt was ranked seventh). Roosevelt walked away with a 73-62 win over Dunbar on Friday. 73 seems to be a good number for the Roughriders as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Calvert Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Our Lady of Mount Carmel 66-39. The game marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Roosevelt pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Calvert Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
