Volleyball Recap: Kingman Academy Starts off Right with Win over Joseph City

Kingman Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Joseph City Wildcats. The Tigers have beaten the Wildcats the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Kingman Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Joseph City to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-14.

Sofia Bower paced Kingman Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Bower got some help from Brielle Bodily and her ten assists. Bodily was also solid from the service line: she led the team with ten aces.

Kingman Academy has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Trivium Prep on the 29th. As for Joseph City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Campo Verde on the 29th.
