Northgate is a perfect 3-0 against Langston Hughes since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Northgate Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Langston Hughes Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northgate has ten straight wins, Langston Hughes has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

On Wednesday, Northgate beat Brookstone 4-2. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Cougars are ranked 133rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Langston Hughes fell victim to Dutchtown and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 10-0.

Langston Hughes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Northgate, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0.

Northgate took their win against Langston Hughes in their previous meeting back in March of 2019 by a conclusive 10-0. Will Northgate repeat their success, or does Langston Hughes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
