Football Recap: Lamphere Victorious + How To Watch

Lamphere won the last time they faced Grosse Pointe North and things went their way on Friday too. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Rams made off with a 22-21 victory over the Norsemen. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by just one point.

Several Norsemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Peter Rheume, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown. Rheume's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Sahadi, who threw for 107 yards and a pair of TDs.

The win (which was Lamphere's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 points across that stretch. As for Grosse Pointe North, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamphere will challenge Warren Woods-Tower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Grosse Pointe North, they will venture away from home to face off against Marysville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
