Trivium Prep waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Kingman Academy Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Trivium Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-14.

Petra Zepeda paced Trivium Prep's offense, picking up 21 kills. Zepeda got some help from Aleena Torres and her 41 assists. Torres was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Trivium Prep's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Kingman Academy, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-6.

Trivium Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Valley Christian Academy on the 2nd. As for Kingman Academy, after both having extra time off, they and St. John Paul II Catholic will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
