Basketball Recap: North Knox Falls Despite Big Games from Cole Kerns and Braxton Yenne

North Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 68-51 fall against the South Knox Spartans. The Warriors were down 61-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, North Knox had strong showings from Braxton Yenne, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points along with six boards and three steals, and Cole Kerns, who posted 14 points and six boards. That's the most steals Yenne has posted since back in December of 2023.

North Knox's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Knox, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

North Knox wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-71 defeat against Shakamak on the 13th. As for South Knox, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-60 victory against Lawrenceville on the 10th.
