Volleyball Recap: Cypress Bay Find Success + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cypress Bay had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Doral Academy Firebirds. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Firebirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Doral Academy scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21.

Julia Diaz had an outrageously good game as she had 24 digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Cypress Bay's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Doral Academy, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-13.

Coming up, Cypress Bay will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellington at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Doral Academy, they will head out to challenge Boca Raton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
