Baseball Game Preview: North Wilkes Vikings vs. Forbush Falcons

North Wilkes is 0-8 against Forbush since April of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, North Wilkes came up short against Forbush and fell 7-3. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Forbush's part, they got a great performance from Luke Hutchens as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bo Moxley, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Aaron Hutchens was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Forbush was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Forbush has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for North Wilkes, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
