It was a good run, but St. Edmund unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 13-8 to the Opelousas Catholic Vikings. The Fighting Blue Jays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 7-2.

St. Edmund's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Opelousas Catholic, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-7-1.

Looking ahead, St. Edmund will challenge Port Barre at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Opelousas Catholic, they will head out to square off against Live Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
