Basketball Recap: Boron Skates Past Frazier Mountain with Ease

After only 23 points in their last game, Boron made sure to put some points up on the board against Frazier Mountain on Tuesday. The Boron Bobcats breezed by the Frazier Mountain Falcons to the tune of 58-30. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 25-4.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boron to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jalen York, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. York has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Josue Magallanes was another key player, putting up nine points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Boron was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Boron's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Frazier Mountain, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Boron will venture away from home to take on Bishop Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Union will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Boron surely won't give up without a fight. As for Frazier Mountain, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 41-28 victory against Kern Resource Center on the 15th.
