Basketball Recap: Clayton Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Clayton won the last time they faced Parkway North and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Clayton Greyhounds secured a 61-56 W over the Parkway North Vikings. Given the Greyhounds' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Vikings are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Clayton and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Parkway North, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Clayton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 82-36 victory against McCluer South-Berkeley on the 24th. As for Parkway North, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hazelwood East at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
