Softball Recap: St. Michael Comes Up Short

St. Michael lost against Ash Fork/Seligman on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chanelle Hale made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Denea Livingston was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

St. Michael's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Coming up, St. Michael will venture away from home to face off against Greyhills Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ash Fork/Seligman, they will challenge Mayer at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season.
