Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Saints vs. Spring Baptist Academy Royals

The Faith Christian Saints will venture away from home to challenge the Spring Baptist Academy Royals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Christian will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Faith Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Non Varsity Opponent, taking the game 39-30.

Faith Christian found their leader in sophomore Alexa Tomlison, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds. Tomlison also set a new season-high mark in blocks with four. Yaretzi DelaRosa also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Faith Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Spring Baptist Academy made easy work of Community Christian last Friday and carried off a 43-20 win.

Faith Christian better keep an eye on Addy Doelitsch. She was instrumental in Spring Baptist Academy's win, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 22 boards. Another player making a difference was Natalia Munoz, who posted six points and ten rebounds.

Faith Christian pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Spring Baptist Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
