Baseball Recap: Central Hardin Takes a Loss

Central Hardin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-3 to the Adair County Indians. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2016.

Central Hardin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Irwin, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double. Kellen Brandenburg also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Central Hardin's record now sits at 1-3. As for Adair County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Hardin will venture away from home to take on Henry Clay at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Adair County, they will head out to challenge Nelson County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Adair County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Nelson County has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
