Softball Recap: Brandon Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mendenhall last Friday, Brandon came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 5-1 to the Petal Panthers on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Petal, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brandon will challenge rival Pearl at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Petal is set to take on their familiar foe Meridian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
