Football Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia came into this matchup off a tough 56-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Republic Tigers by a score of 44-42 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Republic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
