Volleyball Recap: Jenkins Falls to Savannah Arts Academy in First Game of Season

Jenkins had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Savannah Arts Academy Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2020.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11.

Savannah Arts Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Natalie Lehto led the charge by getting 13 assists and three digs. Those 13 assists gave Lehto a new career-high.

Coincidentally, Jenkins and Savannah Arts Academy will both be playing Savannah Country Day the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
