Basketball Game Preview: South Stokes Sauras vs. East Wilkes Cardinals

South Stokes is on a 21-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while East Wilkes is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The South Stokes Sauras will host the East Wilkes Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in South Stokes' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.

On Wednesday, South Stokes didn't have too much trouble with East Surry as they won 81-67. Given the Sauras' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Cardinals are ranked 387th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East Wilkes took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 73-40 win over Elkin.

East Wilkes is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for South Stokes, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.
