Recap: Eastern Ramblers vs. Ballou Knights
On Wednesday, the Eastern Ramblers faced the Ballou Knights in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Eastern was the clear victor by a 50-26 margin over Ballou. Considering Eastern has won three games by more than 21 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Samia Greene continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lanaia Martin, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
The win (which was Eastern's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Ballou, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Eastern will take on South Lakes in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at. Ballou will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McKinley Tech at 5:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
