Baseball Game Preview: Mount Greylock Regional Mounties vs. Mount Anthony Patriots

The Mount Greylock Regional Mounties will take on the Mount Anthony Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Greylock Regional is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Mount Greylock Regional is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since May 16, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Hampshire Regional, falling 9-1.

Mount Greylock Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Bayliss, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Mount Anthony is ranked highly in their home state and two weeks ago they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Drury. The Patriots walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Blue Devils.

Colby Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sean Moriarty, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Jacoby Dicranian was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Mount Greylock Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Mount Anthony, their win bumped their record up to 5-2-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal.
