Volleyball Game Preview: Sunrise Mountain Mustangs vs. Ironwood Eagles

The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs will face off against the Ironwood Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunrise Mountain is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Wednesday, Sunrise Mountain sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Verrado.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sunrise Mountain got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 22-25, 18-16.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ironwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Notre Dame Prep on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-16, 25-12.

Ironwood's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Sunrise Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.
