It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Worth County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 17-7 victory over the Gordon Lee Trojans. The win was just business as usual for the Rams, who after 13 games remain undefeated this season.

Worth County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaden Chester out in front who rushed for 100 yards and one TD, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and one score. Chester's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Lyndon Worthy was another key signal caller, throwing for 256 yards and one touchdown while completing 81.8% of his passes.

Worth County's run defense was locked in: Gordon Lee could only muster 3.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least ten total tackles, Chance Sims stood above the rest. He picked up a sack and made ten total tackles. Worth County didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 5.7.

Worth County's defense didn't let Dustin Day, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Sims, Brady Weaver, and Joshua McGee, who each picked up one sack apiece. Sims was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles.

Worth County's record is now 13-0. As for Gordon Lee, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.
