Recap: Johnson Jaguars vs. Anderson Trojans

The Johnson Jaguars posted their biggest win since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 65-36 victory over Anderson. Given Johnson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 481st, while Anderson is ranked 1155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Anderson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nonye Muoneme. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Muoneme has scored all season.

Johnson's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-13. As for Anderson, their loss was their tenth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson will take on Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anderson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Akins at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Akins is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
