Baseball Recap: Russell County Comes Up Short

Russell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 16-0 to the Glenwood Gators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 back in February.

Russell County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Glenwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-7.

Russell County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenwood, they will host Beulah at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.85 runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of.
