Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Comes Up Short

Eisenhower lost against Colton on April 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets.

Denzel Sahagun spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eisenhower saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Aguilar, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

Eisenhower has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Colton, their record is now 10-13.

While Eisenhower had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
