Baseball Recap: Wahoo/Bishop Neumann Gets the Win

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Wahoo/Bishop Neumann and Ralston meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 5-2 win over the Rams. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Rams two weeks ago, they had to take a 10-3 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Isiah Nagle, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Wahoo/Bishop Neumann's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 4-6 when he doesn't). Jase Kaminski also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory got Wahoo/Bishop Neumann back to even at 7-7. As for Ralston, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.

Looking ahead, Wahoo/Bishop Neumann will take on Malcolm in a tournament on Thursday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ralston, they will square off against Platte Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
