Basketball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

Russellville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-53 back in January.

Russellville's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Franklin-Simpson, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Russellville will face off against Allen County-Scottsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will challenge Todd County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin-Simpson is facing Todd County Central at the right time seeing as Todd County Central is stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
